From 92be4f63f676a4c393f4aedac60aa094106b3700 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Lutz Date: Wed, 21 Oct 2026 08:39:55 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] build(pio): pin espressif32 platform to 7.1.3 espressif32 was the only unpinned embedded platform (atmelavr and the RP2040 wrapper are pinned). It auto-drifted to 8.0.0 (released 2026-10-19 10:06 UTC, hours after the last green develop CI run), whose GCC has a stricter -Wformat-truncation analysis: src/Declination.cpp:49 now fails -Werror=format-truncation, breaking the esp32 matrix build for every PR opened since (#315 was the first to hit it). Pin to 7.1.3 (2026-09-11), the last version develop CI ran green on. Migrating to 8.x is tracked separately.
