What happened?
Live playback starts correctly, but changing quality or codec freezes playback after the media already buffered by the previous session is exhausted.
The server accepts the switch and creates a new SABR playback session, but the replacement session remains in prefetch and does not provide new segments.
Steps to reproduce
- Open an active livestream.
- Open the player quality menu.
- Switch from H.264 to VP9 or AV1, or select another quality.
- Wait for the previous buffer to drain.
Expected behavior
Playback should continue with the selected quality or codec without creating a visible interruption.
Current scope
Normal live playback is stable when the initial selection is kept. This follow-up is tracked in the roadmap and does not block TypeType 1.1.0.
