Would love thoughts on whether folks feel it would be safe to prune *.tgz and other such compressed files.
I'm borderline on this one. On the one hand, if your module requires local decompression to work, what in the hell?
On the other hand, we can't control people doing bad and dumb things with npm, and perhaps this is dangerous to impl.
Thoughts?
