Sorry you hit this — a run that starts and never finishes is genuinely frustrating, and "Preparing the next step…" sticking around means the request began but never came back.

To actually find the cause I need something traceable, because at least three different failures look identical from the outside (credits exhausted, a stalled connection, or a provider error we're swallowing instead of showing you). Could you add:

• the project URL (editor.pascal.app/editor/<id>)
• roughly when it happened, with your timezone
• browser and OS
• what you typed, and whether the credit counter moved

With the project id and a rough timestamp I can pull the actual run from our logs and tell you which of the three it was. If it turns out credits were taken for a run that never delivered, those go back regardless of what the root cause is — the account support channel can sort that without waiting on this bug.
