Summary

Automates 54 of the 60 rows in qa/manual-test-plan.csv as Playwright tests (e2e/), run in CI against a MySQL 8 service container (.github/workflows/e2e.yml). qa/coverage-matrix.csv accounts for all 60 rows. Each row is either automated (with its spec file and test title) or manual (with the reason). e2e/scripts/check-coverage.mjs runs first in CI and fails if a plan row is missing or duplicated, if an automated row has no test with the matching MT-xxx <plan title>, or if a manual row has no reason or does have a test.

How the tests work

• Each test registers its own unique customers via POST /register, so the tests are independent and run in parallel against one shared DB. Rows that say "After MT-036" repeat that setup instead of depending on test order.
• For blocked-form rows (MT-025/026/034/043/044), the test checks validity.valueMissing or stepMismatch and records that no POST was sent.
• Bootstrap collapse JS loads from a CDN, so openPanel waits for jQuery.fn.collapse before clicking.
• MT-042/046 plan precondition gap: the app checks funds before it looks up the recipient, so a $0 sender gets "Insufficient funds", not "Recipient account not found". These tests deposit 50 first.

Local run (MySQL 8 via demo/start-demo.sh)

Plan rows: 60. Automated: 54. Manual: 6 (MT-021, MT-047, MT-048, MT-055, MT-059, MT-060).
Coverage matrix check passed: every plan row is accounted for exactly once.
54 passed (24.5s)

I also checked that the coverage checker catches errors: deleting a matrix row and renaming a test title each made it exit 1.
