Research: paid clean connector for distinct outputs (no new kappa) - #1954
Conversation

Batch review at Merged to Reviewed scope: Paid zero-initialized row gives the stated distinct-map 31-output identity, with160 source updates and31 output updates versus10/64. Complete declared local tariff includes initialization, hosting and descriptors. All608 basis columns and13 controls check the local saving2482; no all-role reversible supplier or physical tariff follows. The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions. Batch review, attribution and evidence. Thank you for the contribution. |
Summary
Add a reproducible root-level construction using one fresh length-16 connector row for the five-source, 31-output batch. The row is explicitly zeroed and every added cost is charged. The method rebuilds each source mask, performs one output-map update, and reverses the source updates to restore scratch before continuing.
The transformation is exact for arbitrary linear maps. The cost fixture uses 31 pairwise-distinct output maps and five distinct source permutations. It does not claim a new kappa or recursive supplier.
Exact comparison
The pinned direct schedule (
five_extra_outputin the universal connector certificate) uses 10 B updates and 64 A updates. The new schedule uses 160 B updates and 31 A updates. AtL=16,a=208,b=16, and descriptor priced=13, the declared local bill includes shared tables and data rows, per-action descriptors, 31 extra mask-control descriptors, two allocation/release descriptors, one additional hosted row, and its 16 zero writes:One unit is explicitly assigned to one XOR update, stored table bit, hosted row coordinate, zero write, or scheduler descriptor. This is a local sensitivity model, not a physical hardware price. The complete accounting and break-even expression are in the package README.
Verification
The exact replay also passes under
python3 -I -O -B. Local Python is 3.14.7; Python 3.12 is not installed here, so the registered Python 3.12 replay remains for CI.Scope, overlap, and attribution
This is a root-interface construction under a changed connector contract. It leaves the original dirty connector, all five sources, and all targets unchanged except for the requested additive updates; the extra row is restored after each mask. Child restoration, recursive composition, frame transitions, and precision changes are outside this local bill.
The original common-map attempt was released because the stronger common-A broadcast in PR #1707 covered that object. This package retains pairwise-distinct A maps and charges a newly admitted clean row. The 2026-10-14 14:58 UTC refresh paginated 601 open PRs and 577 discussion records without warnings. Nearby PRs #1518, #1531, #1811, and #1915 study different connector symbols, fixed-alphabet schedules, or paid frames.
