Concatenated two-source depth-one blocks attain c(k + 2^k - 1) calls for every characteristic c and k <= 2c, past the k <= c run walk. In characteristic four a 36-event nine-source walk attains the floor, and with the deletion lemma and boundary-multiset counting 9 <= N(4) <= 21.

For the unsigned dirty connector over a ring of characteristic c (k immutable sources, all 2^k − 1 binary-mask outputs, calls
B_j: z += B_j x_jandA_m: y_m += A_m z), let N(c) be the largest k at which #4231's floor c(k + 2^k − 1) is attained.a b a^(c−1) b^(c−1)gives every block mask as a single prefix. Concatenated blocks add their depths, so ⌈k/2⌉ ≤ c blocks give a floor word. Classify the unsigned five-source connector in every characteristic (36c for c ≥ 3; no new κ) #4231's run walk reaches k ≤ c.Theorem A is sharp at c = 2 (#943: five sources fail), matches #4232's n ≤ 6 at c = 3, and is beaten by the nine-source walk at c = 4.
Claim type: scoped proof plus finite certificate. No new κ, no selected-frontier change, no multiplication theorem.

PASS_CONNECTOR_DEPTH_BLOCKS blocks_k<=2c c4_attained_k<=9 c4_counting_excludes_k>=22.The standard-library verifier builds the block word for all 54 pairs 2 ≤ c ≤ 7, k ≤ 2c and simulates each with generic noncommuting coefficients. It enumerates all 90, 1,680 and 34,650 three-source walks for c = 2, 3, 4 (none has depth one). For the nine-source walk it regenerates all 511 readout multisets, simulates the literal word generically and on random singular 2×2 matrices over Z/4, and checks all nine single-source deletions. It also checks the counting table and six rejection controls: a dropped call, a doubled readout, a relabelled source, the word read in characteristic eight, the sorted run walk at k = 9, and blocks at (c, k) = (3, 7).
