Summary

Full copy pass on the microlearning feature (UI text and card content for all 13 disciplines, in English and French), plus several bugs found along the way where text was missing or shown in the wrong language.

Bug fixes

  • English Humanities journey didn't load: content was stored under lettres while the app looks up letters.
  • Missing French text: end-screen description never displayed (key typo decription).
  • French shown to English users:
    • The end-of-journey survey screen was hardcoded in French and said "Avant de commencer" at the end.
    • The "other skills" heading was hardcoded in French.
    • The discipline badge on the overview screen always used the French name.

Types of copy changes

  • Corrections: typos, missing accents, grammar and agreement errors, leftover French words in the English version.
  • Native English rewrite: the English read as a word-for-word translation, so it was rewritten as original English. The literal "ecological transition and sustainable development" became "sustainability", the term English-speaking academics actually use.
  • Inclusive French: écriture inclusive with the point médian across all UI and card content (étudiant·es, citoyen·nes, acteur·rices…).
  • Punctuation, applied consistently:
    • No full stop on headings, buttons, labels and tags.
    • Full stops on sentences.
    • Consistent "For example: …" / "Par exemple : …" placeholders.
    • French non-breaking spaces before : ; ? ! and inside « ».
  • Capitalisation: sentence case for all UI text in both languages, with official names keeping their own capitals.
  • Consistent wording:
    • The same sentence for repeated elements across disciplines ("Your turn" step, activity intros).
    • English card titles and skill tags all in the "-ing" form.
    • Acronyms (TEDS, ESDT, PLU, SCoT…) spelled out.
  • UX wording:
    • Clearer buttons and screen titles.
    • Survey screens reframed around measuring the journey's pedagogical impact.
    • The UVED resource card now uses the official document titles ("[Discipline] & Transition écologique"), a clearer label ("Une ressource UVED pour aller plus loin" / "Further reading from UVED") and the "Apports croisés et impacts" subtitle.

Open content questions (not changed)

These are points of fact or content that need a decision from the content team:

  • Law: some legal principles are described as constitutional when they come from ordinary law, and one activity title says criminal law while its text describes civil liability.
  • Psychology: the role-play about persuading a "cognitively vulnerable group" may read as manipulative.
  • Philosophy: "Éthiquer" is not a standard French verb.
  • The flip-card step's statement, hint and closing fields are never displayed. They still contain old wording and could be deleted.

Testing

  • vue-tsc passes.
  • Manually tested in the app during review, in both languages.
