Summary

Follow-up to #14: replace scripts/rtd_install_sigima.py with the generic scripts/rtd_install_dev_deps.py, which is now shared with DataLab-Platform/Sigima and PlotPyStack/PlotPy (only the project-specific settings block differs).

Changes

Branch and pull request documentation builds now install the same development dependencies as the GitHub Actions test workflows:

  • Sigima: same-named branch, falling back to develop (unchanged)
  • guidata and PlotPy: develop (new)
  • PythonQwt: master (new)

Tag builds and main keep using PyPI releases. All packages are installed in a single pip call, so that their mutual requirements are resolved against the development versions.

Validation

  • Branch selection checked for a tag, the default branch, develop, a pull request and a pull request from a fork.
  • Read the Docs install sequence reproduced on Ubuntu 22.04 (same image as RTD) in a clean virtualenv: the development dependencies are installed from GitHub, then RTD's pip install --upgrade --upgrade-strategy only-if-needed .[doc] keeps them and succeeds.
  • The Read the Docs build of this pull request exercises the full set, including building PlotPy from source.

Replace rtd_install_sigima.py with rtd_install_dev_deps.py, shared with
Sigima and PlotPy. Besides Sigima (same-named branch, falling back to
develop), branch and pull request builds now also install PythonQwt from
master and guidata and PlotPy from develop, as the GitHub Actions test
workflows do.
