What

Removes the white leading frames from docs/media/live-graph-rail.gif (README hero and the live site page https://homenshum.github.io/nodeagent/, which hotlinks the raw main file). Nothing else changes.

  • k = 6 leading frames with mean luminance > 200 (253.7-253.8 vs about 21 for the rest), 750 ms removed (130+120+130+120+130+120).
  • Size: 2,752,757 -> 2,744,409 bytes (ratio 0.9970; limit 1.10).
  • Method: byte-level frame drop (strip_lead.py); the remaining 124 frames' compressed data is untouched, so the result is lossless.
  • compare.py: PASS - n_after 124 == 130 - 6; durations_after == durations_before[6:]; loop equal (0); size 960x590; max per-frame mean-abs RGB diff 0.0000 (<= 2.0); after max frame mean 27.19 (<= 200), frame 0 mean 17.64.

Cause (summary)

e2e/record-live-graph-rail.mjs creates the context with recordVideo (lines 60-63) and the page (line 64) before page.goto (line 65) paints the dark app, so the recorder films the blank white page first; the script never trims the start (lines 94-101). The recorder is intentionally not edited here; only the shipped GIF is trimmed.

Evidence: D:/ProjectRecovery/chatgpt-consolidation-20260907-01/thread-agnostic-integration-20261003/repository-presentation-20261007/evidence/readme-gif-white-lead-*/ (frames-before/after, compare.txt, cause.md, frame-0 PNGs).

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Drops the first 6 frames (mean luminance ~253.7) of the README GIF; the remaining
124 frames, their durations, loop and 960x590 size are byte-identical.
