    Thanks for the request, @max149239.

A .p7m file is a signed envelope (PKCS #7 / CAdES, common for Italian e-signatures): the original file, here a PDF, wrapped together with its signature. The signature isn't encryption, so the original can be taken out as it is.

So P7M → the file inside looks doable, and fits Filee: no password, no protection to break, just unwrapping.

One note: the result is the plain original, so the signature (and the proof it gives) isn't part of it any more. Keep the .p7m if you need that proof.

Keeping this open as a format request.

@max149239 Filee now opens signed .p7m files (#1096). It ships in the next version.

    • Drop document.pdf.p7m on Filee and choose PDF: you get document.pdf, the PDF inside, without the signature envelope.
    • It works for whatever is inside, so invoice.xml.p7m (Italian e-invoices) gives the XML, and you can go straight to another format too, e.g. P7M → JPG for the PDF's pages.
    • Filee only takes the file out. It doesn't check the signature: keep the .p7m if you need the proof that it was signed.
    • Encrypted mail (smime.p7m) and detached signatures (no file inside) are refused with a message saying which one it is.
