I wanted Markdown and tab-separated tables to stay readable while editing in MarkEdit, without rewriting the incoming file. I built Table Alignment, a small extension that aligns columns using display-only CodeMirror decorations while keeping the original source directly editable.
This PR adds its entry to the extension registry. The source, installation instructions, screenshot, and recorded verification are public under the MIT license, and the entry points to a versioned release asset with its SHA-256 checksum.
Compatibility
Developed and tested with MarkEdit 1.26.2 (
macos-14) on an Intel Mac running macOS 14.6.1. This is the version I can run on my machine. Newer MarkEdit releases, newer macOS versions, and Apple silicon have not yet been verified. I'd welcome compatibility testing and feedback from users of current versions. I'm opening this as a draft to make that remaining verification clear.Behavior and verification
minAppVersionis conservatively set to 1.26.2; support for earlier versions is also unverified.Registry checks passed locally: schema build (
CHECK_INTEGRITY=false npm run build) and all 14 registry tests. The new release asset was downloaded separately and its exact bytes and SHA-256 matched the tested script.Developed with Codex assistance. Thanks for making MarkEdit extensible!
