This is very. non-standard, as WLED does not support serving with HTTPS and also does not support custom ports. That said, homelab users, such as myself, do some crazy stuff like accessing WLED through a reverse proxy server that serves using HTTPS. This works fine in a browser, including with Websockets. No reason it can't be supported through the app.
If there's interest in this idea, I'll take a stab at implementaion in a PR.
