You need your own clean US/English FireRed v1.0 or v1.1 ROM.
- Open the free web patcher.
- Drop or select your clean FireRed .gba file.
- Click Patch and download.
- Open the new game in your GBA emulator.

- Sevii Encounters: vanilla FireRed species and levels; Altering Cave keeps its activated Gen2 roster.
- Wild Odds: equal chances between eligible species; nighttime Ghost rates stay intact.
- Bookcase Hints: reveal Gen2 PKMN locations by searching bookcases.
- Pokédex Habitat Guide: view acquisition locations, odds, levels and unlock conditions in-game.
- Early Gifts: bedroom Lucky Egg, Tree Shaker, Bill's Eevee, gym bonus rewards and Lt. Surge's FLASH.
- Easier Evolutions: Bill's trade-backs, Eevee Sun/Moon Stones and missed-move learning.
- Better Training: IV/EV viewer, longer Repels, reuse Repels, faster eggs with Magma Armor/Flame Body.
- Legendaries: roaming beast visible in grass; legendaries return until caught; roaming bugs fixed.
- Shiny hunting: Ruby/Sapphire-style RNG. (In PokeFinder only these work: Eggs, Gifts, & Gen1 Statics. Wild and Gen2 Static don't)

- Gym Rewards: bonus items and the strongest same-type TMs; Brock gives Secret Power.
- Normal Elite Four: Battle Frontier, Acro Bike, legendary beasts, Sudowoodu, 2nd fossil/Dojo PKMN, Leftovers for JAIME's TOASTED TEA quest.

- Catch #1-150: Mew under the truck.
- Catch #1-250: Oak returns the GEN SYNC GS Ball; catch Celebi on Faraway Island. Only this ball works; it cannot be held or discarded.
