I don't know what others ppl think, but it still doesn't work for me on two pc. So I am against it but let's wait for @berolinux opinion. |

Unsure because we haven't heard back from any people with Realtek chipsets that were known not to work with IWD before. On my hardware (including PinePhone), generally both wpa_supplicant and iwd are working fine. One problem with iwd regardless of hardware is that it doesn't allow renaming interfaces, so iwd means going back to the wlan0 name. IMO that's not a big problem because few people have more than one wifi interface anyway. |

I have two Qualcomm Atheros chips breaking too. |
Well, that is not a nice thing to do :). Anyway, I think this is way too late to do that for next release if we push that early we may try, but I can tell you |

Given it apparently still breaks some otherwise working HW, we should try after the 4.2 release. |
Logs? Anything that may help to figure out what is happening? |
I'm not home right now but I can give you logs next week. However, logs don't tell much, one chip loop forever and never connects one connects to AP at some point I tested that on OMV & FW and is not a matter of the distro, I probably need to find the code poking these and add some debug what chips are breaking for you? |
