Add missing alt text for accessibility compliance #266

Open

Description

@BekahHW

Problem

Several images throughout the documentation are missing proper alt text, which affects accessibility for users with screen readers.

Files to Review

  • All markdown files in docs/ directory
  • Check for images with empty or generic alt text
  • Ensure descriptive alt text for screenshots, diagrams, and GIFs

Examples Found

  • Various screenshots of GitHub interfaces
  • GIFs showing workflows
  • Diagrams and illustrations

Acceptance Criteria

  • All images have descriptive alt text
  • Alt text follows accessibility best practices (concise but descriptive)
  • Screenshots describe what is shown, not just 'screenshot'
  • GIFs describe the action being demonstrated

Priority: Medium
Good for: First-time contributors, accessibility advocates
Estimated effort: 2-3 hours

    Hi @BekahHW,

I’d like to contribute by adding descriptive alt text for all images in the docs/ directory, including screenshots, GIFs, and diagrams. I’ll ensure accessibility best practices are followed.

Could you please assign this issue to me?

    Thank you!

@OmMaurya-2005, thank you for your interest in this issue. ✨

However, you've been assigned to another issue. Please make sure to create a PR for that issue that we eventually approve first before grabbing another issue.
