Prepares the PlotPy 2.12.0 release from
develop.release_2.12.md. PlotPy 2.11.2 will not be released: its notes (curve fitting dialog fix Curve fitting: OverflowError when a fitted value is far outside the parameter slider range #76, cross-section panels, performance improvements) and the Python 3.10 requirement move to 2.12.0Local validation (Windows, Python 3.11, guidata 3.16.0, PythonQwt 0.16.3): Ruff OK, Sphinx doc build OK, sdist build +
twine checkOK, pytest 367 passed / 16 skipped / 1 failed. The failure (test_curve_tools.py::test_edit_point_tool) also occurs locally on v2.11.1, so it is environment-specific and not related to this release.
