LearnComputerVision

Computer vision lessons and exercises in Jupyter notebooks.

Launch with Docker

Install and start Docker Desktop, then run this from the repository folder:

.\launch-jupyter.ps1

Or start it directly with Docker Compose:

docker compose up --build

Open the JupyterLab URL printed in the terminal (usually http://localhost:8888/lab). Jupyter enables token authentication by default; use the token URL printed at startup. Stop the server with Ctrl+C.

The notebooks and img directory are mounted from the repository, so notebook edits and outputs remain on your machine. The server port is bound to localhost only.

Run without Docker

Install the dependencies and launch JupyterLab from the repository folder:

python -m pip install -r requirements.txt

python -m jupyter lab

Then open the URL printed in the terminal.

This project is based on and adapted from Stan Birchfield's Introduction to Computer Vision.
