What changed

Finalize the production 1.4.0 release on main. Set Android versionName to 1.4.0 and versionCode to 16, activate the packaged 1.4.0 changelog and optional tour, and document its release-history range. Production availability was confirmed by Edward.

Risk

Limited to release metadata and activating existing release notes. No parser, reading-position, RSVP timing, or persistence implementation changes are included.

Validation

  • ./gradlew qualityCheck
  • ./gradlew qualityGate when Android/UI/build behavior changed
  • Android Lint attempted for Android-facing changes; any analyzer stall is documented separately
  • Focused regression tests added or updated: not applicable; existing release-note tests cover this metadata activation
  • git diff --check
  • Connected instrumentation run when device behavior changed, or the missing device/emulator is documented: no device behavior implementation changes in this release metadata PR; instrumentation is not rerun for finalization

Local qualityGate passed, including qualityCheck, unit tests, Android Lint, and debug APK assembly. The required GitHub Quality gate passed: https://github.com/Steadyx/Kairo/actions/runs/39322259360. No signed build or Play upload is part of this PR.

Quality policy

  • No baseline, ignoreFailures, broad exclusion, or unrelated threshold relaxation was added
  • Any new suppression is declaration-scoped and explained next to the annotation: no new suppressions
  • No generated files, debug logging, commented-out code, or unrelated formatting churn is included
