Intern to CTO in ten months. Today I lead the AI platform protecting 40M+ hectares against wildfire.
Co-founder & CTO at 1.5°C (Rio de Janeiro). I lead Pantera, our AI wildfire platform covering prevention, early detection, fire-spread modeling, and operational response — and the engineers, ML specialists, and environmental scientists who build it.
- Scale — 190 field cameras, 40M+ hectares protected, including the Pantanal. Tuned for recall: a missed fire costs more than a false alarm.
- ForeFire — Contributor since 2022, maintainer since 2025 of CNRS's open-source wildfire simulator (C++). Co-author on the JOSS paper. Releases, CI/CD, Dockerization, docs.
- Production Agents — 9 self-hosted Hermes agents across dev, ops, and support. 450+ PRs merged by tech leads across 10 repos (>83% human merge rate, strict 2-PR WIP limits).
Building at the intersection of AI, physical operations, and open source — where the hard part isn't the model, but putting it inside an operation where being wrong is expensive.
