feat(shell): insert zoxide selections through configured key bindings #45

Closed

Description

@benbenbang

Parent

Part of #43. Depends on #44.

Summary

Implement the zoxide key-binding behavior as a command-buffer completion rather than an immediate directory change.

Interaction

  1. The user types a prefix such as cd .
  2. The configured Ctrl/Alt+O chord invokes zoxide query --interactive.
  3. The selected directory is appended to the existing command buffer with shell-safe quoting.
  4. The user presses Enter to execute the completed command.

Acceptance criteria

  • use zoxide's supported interactive query instead of maintaining a separate zoxide query --list | fzf pipeline
  • require both zoxide and fzf for this behavior
  • if another behavior follows, a missing dependency advances to it; otherwise identify the missing program clearly
  • cancellation restores the exact original buffer, preserves the current directory, and does not fall through
  • query failures preserve the buffer/directory, stop the chain, and remain visible long enough to understand
  • paths containing spaces, apostrophes, Unicode, leading dashes, and platform-native separators are inserted safely
  • do not automatically prepend cd; appending to the existing buffer preserves uses such as cd , code , or other commands
  • implement and test every shell whose line editor supports a safe foreground key-binding widget; document any explicit shell limitation
  • respect zoxide/fzf configuration such as _ZO_FZF_OPTS

Delivery

Implemented in #56 and released in 0.4.0 as part of #43.
