What's the status of this? The second this is working I'm deleting Element/ElementX (the android apps both suck HARD and I would much rather use Commet)

current status is, it's working with unencrypted calls, and encrypted calls are not yet implemented.

I've tried getting the encryption working but had some difficulties, so for now I'm planning to do an 0.4 release with only unencrypted calls, and then revisit e2ee post release

I made a little progress on decrypting remote streams in #572, but there is an issue with compatibility between Element Call and Livekit's Flutter SDK: livekit/client-sdk-flutter#974

I am delighted that you are working on making it work in both modes. Thank you very much u are the legend! It's the only thing I'm waiting for so that I can finally switch to this client, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you manage to fine-tune it.

E2EE Element Call is also the last thing stopping me from migrating to CommetChat fully, not just me but I have friends and family that would also like to try out CommetChat instead of other options.
My Gaming community is also very much looking forward to CommetChat.

Airyzz, thanks so much for your valuable work. After following the Matrix client scene for a few years, CommetChat is literally the only client besides Element that I feel is making important strides on the User Experience for communities, namely heavy-comms communities such as gaming, one such being the implementation of Element Call for groups which I've yet to see other clients do, and Calendar rooms are 😚 🤌

Thank you both for your kind words! it really means a lot to me!

I'd love to keep working on element call, but currently I have to wait for a response from Element team / LiveKit team on what can be done to fix this compatibility issue. The ideal solution for me is a fix from Element team (Switching to PBKDF2) as that should be the fastest way to make this possible. The other solution is implementing HKDF in the LiveKit flutter sdk, which will be a lot more work, but i'm doing some initial research so I can implement it myself if I have to
