Container image registries which don't allow basic auth always receive a first basic authenticated request before falling back to the oauth dance. For example:
ContainerImage('registry.gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-runner:alpine').get_digest(auth={})
Our IT complains about these spurious 401 requests but I don't see a wait to bypass them. Would it make sense to add a mechanism to pass pre-obtained bearer tokens? I can submit a patch if this looks reasonable to you.
