What changed

  • evolves MindSwipe into a two-mode Learn and Explore product without replacing the existing Learn flow
  • adds a sourced Netherlands pilot for Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Rotterdam
  • adds local saved places and editable, persistent multi-day trips
  • adds encoded Google Maps route handoff with safe segmentation and Waze destination handoff
  • migrates existing local progress to schema V2 while preserving saves, XP, streaks, missions, reminders, and recent activity
  • preserves PWA/offline behavior and adds bundled travel imagery with attribution metadata
  • commits the Capacitor Android wrapper at API 36 with notification-only permissions and protected signing-key patterns
  • updates product, privacy, security, sourcing, legal, store, release, location, and measurement documentation

User impact

MindSwipe remains a fast anti-doomscrolling microlearning app, while users can now discover useful Netherlands travel knowledge, save places, build trips locally, and hand navigation to Google Maps or Waze. No account, analytics, advertising, cloud database, or location tracking was introduced.

Validation

  • npm ci
  • npm run check (lint, 19 tests, production build)
  • npm run test:e2e (16 scenarios across desktop and Android-sized Chromium)
  • npm run android:sync
  • npm audit --audit-level=high (0 vulnerabilities on this branch)
  • visual QA at 412x915 and 1440x1000 with no horizontal overflow

Remaining human validation

  • GitHub Android workflow / signed release AAB
  • real-device notification and external-navigation testing
  • Play Console, privacy URL, publisher identity, support contact, store declarations, and legal review
