The code architecture currently mixes board-level consideration (I2C devices, LCD display ICs) with SoC internal peripherals. This doesn't work well when emulating multiple devices.
This effort has actually been started in #54, which splits HD66753 display IC emulation from PP5020's MLCD (or LCD1) peripheral emulation.
