Fixes switches on Team and Enterprise sign-ins and on machines with managed settings, and ends shells whose end notice never arrives.
There, Claude Code's built-in guard keeps the session-start and turn-end events from installed mods.
Jobs show at once after a switch. After /clear, /resume, or /branch, the band and the pane show the running jobs and the wakeup within a second. Before, they stayed empty until a job changed.
Finished shows only this session's jobs. Before, every later session of the process showed jobs that had ended in earlier sessions.
Shells end from their output. A running shell now ends when its output file ends with [exited with code N], with that code, even when no end notice arrives. A job that prints that exact line as its own last line ends its row early.
Agents sync at each turn end through an event that the guard does not block.
On those sign-ins, a cancelled /loop wakeup still shows until 10 minutes past due, and a task that Downrange did not see start does not join. See Known limits.
Update: claude plugin update downrange@downrange, then start a new session or run /reload-plugins.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Shell tasks now finish successfully when output reports exit code 0 and fail for other reported exit codes. Eligible successful runs are added to completion history.
Session switches settle when the session changes, helping preserve task and wakeup state across /clear, /resume, and /branch. Related hooks wait for pending state updates before continuing.
Documentation
Updated the usage guide and README with task completion and output handling, session-switch behavior, state recovery, and limitations under managed settings and Team or Enterprise logins.
No actionable merge-blocking risk remains in the supplied review scope.

Review comments at @hooks/register.tsx:
- Around line 371-430: Update persisted to return whether the state write
succeeded, returning false when it catches a write failure. In switched, retain
pending until the settle write succeeds; only clear it after persisted succeeds
and pending still refers to the same switch, so a failed write can be retried.
