… ELD The translation panel is a header popover opened from the channel menu, not a button beside the channel name. The composer gets a live preview, one-step send and a language sheet whose pick sticks. Chat lines lose the "=" and "?" tags and the mark on a line already in the reading language; a translation shows in the original's place and a tap flips it. Unplaced and guessed-at lines are left alone. Languages are identified with fastText and ELD, so an English channel no longer drifts to Polish. A small, unmetered download is not asked about before reading.
