Summary
Ask Fern stores the questions end users ask, which is what powers the Ask Fern analytics in the Dashboard. Customers can now set those query logs to be deleted automatically after a chosen number of days, using a self-serve toggle in the Fern Dashboard instead of asking Fern to run an internal API call.
This matters for teams with privacy or data-retention policies: they can enforce a fixed retention window (for example 30 days) on their own docs site. The setting is off by default, so everyone else keeps today's behavior of retaining query logs indefinitely.
