docs(providers): note Docker on Windows is unsupported - #329

Add a warning to the provider installation prerequisites stating that Linux is the only supported platform. Docker Desktop for Windows, including the WSL 2 backend, may work but is not a supported setup and we do not offer support for problems with such deployments. The warning described the `as-provider` installer as the requestor case on a Unix-like platform, and implied a non-Unix provider install path exists. State that the command installs the provider bundle and needs Linux, and point requestors at their own installation instructions. The provider requirements said "a linux machine" but never said what that excludes, and the wallet restoration pages described the install as a "Unix-like platform (Linux or Mac)" case while linking to the provider instructions - which reads as if macOS providers were supported. Say explicitly on the installation page and in the FAQ that Linux is the only supported platform, macOS is not supported at all, and Windows via Docker Desktop may work but is unsupported. Reword the requestor-side restoration note to match. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015bA95fWqDhGRJWFAvooqJw
The requestor installation page offers Linux/Mac, Windows and generic Unix instructions side by side, which reads as equal support. Add a warning that only Linux is supported and the other platforms may work but are not covered by support. Point macOS and Windows users at a Linux virtual machine (with nested virtualization for providers, so /dev/kvm is available) or a Linux cloud instance for requestors. Note that such setups generally work fine, but are not officially supported either. A Linux VM is a real workaround on x86-64 Windows hosts, but not on a Mac: Apple Silicon can only run ARM64 guests, while the provider needs x86-64 with KVM, so nested virtualization does not help there. Point Mac users at a separate Linux machine or a Linux server with KVM instead, and say x86-64 explicitly in the requestor note. The x86-64 requirement was only implied by the prerequisites line. Say explicitly on the installation page and in the FAQ that ARM machines, Apple Silicon and ARM servers alike, cannot run a provider for now, on any operating system. Same statements, fewer words: drop the repeated "not officially supported" hedging, the per-platform re-explanations and the Apple Silicon ARM64 aside, and merge each note into two short sentences. Adds a warning to the provider installation prerequisites: Linux is the only supported platform for running the provider in Docker. Docker Desktop for Windows (including the WSL 2 backend) may work, but it is not a supported setup and we do not provide support for problems with deployments running there.
