Somali is spoken by an estimated 20+ million people, yet it remains a low-resource language in AI, with limited datasets, benchmarks, and tools compared to its speaker base. Goobo Labs is an open research lab working to close that gap, building open datasets, language technologies, developer tools, and educational resources for Somali AI.
