What
Adds a
placeholder("Select a state...") to thetask_statefield on theproject stage form (
project.task.type), shown next to thestate_changecheckbox.
Why
When
state_changeis checked,task_staterendered as an empty, borderlessselection box with no placeholder. Users did not realize it was an editable
field until hovering over it — the empty state offered no affordance. Reported
during a usability session.
How
View-only change: add
placeholderto the existing<field name="task_state">in
project_task_type_views.xml. The web Selection widget renders theplaceholder while the field is empty. No Python/model changes.
Test plan
task_statefield now shows "Select a state..." while empty (previouslyit looked blank/invisible until hover).
state_changeis on is unchanged.Notes
nobump(manifest minor alreadyset to 19.0.2.1.0).
