Can enum values be validated on a request ?

On a request, request format can be validated by Committee::Middleware::RequestValidation.
But enums definition looks like not be validated by that.

I think it is useful to be validated because application code have not implement it like duplication.
Can we do that with some option ?

I checked enums mismatch on request won't raise exception with:

• Ruby 3.2.2
• Committee 5.0.0

I tried to reproduce this locally with Committee 5.0.0, and I could not reproduce it for OpenAPI 3.

In my test, enum mismatches in both request query parameters and request bodies are rejected with 400. For OpenAPI 3, Committee delegates request validation to openapi_parser, and enum validation is
handled there as part of request parameter / body validation.

If you are still seeing a case where an enum mismatch is accepted, could you share a minimal reproduction?

• the schema
• the middleware configuration
• the exact request that is being accepted unexpectedly

Also, if this is not using the OpenAPI 3 driver, please let us know which schema format/driver you are using.
