Log InnerException while trying to `CheckPlugin`

I'm developing an Agent DVR plugin and at runtime it throws this exception (I see the exception at localhost:8090/logs.html).

CheckPlugin: The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Extensions.DependencyInjection.DependencyInjectionEventSource' threw an exception.

This error message is not useful, since the details of exception is in InnerException.
please log InnerException too, to help plugin developers

I finally found what is the inner exception

Attempted to access a missing method.

it seems that still there are some trimmed methods in System.Private.CoreLib
base class of DependencyInjectionEventSource is EventSource in System.Private.CoreLib

Thanks for digging out the inner exception — that was the key. The method isn't actually missing from CoreLib (8.0.3+ keeps its full public surface). What got trimmed was the type forwarder for EventSourceSettings in the System.Diagnostics.Tracing facade; your DI assembly references EventSource..ctor(EventSourceSettings) through that facade, the parameter type can't resolve, and the runtime reports it as a missing method. The next release keeps all forwarders in the CoreLib-facing facades, and the logger now prints the full InnerException chain so this kind of thing is visible straight away.
