Grok 2501021 (base 6617cfd). T583 AC2: identityAvailability reads a harness-native stamp before it calls a live holder stale.

  • Codex: the exact thread's rollout mtime (metadata only, the same one-file rule as CodexActivity).
  • Grok: a live row in active_sessions.json (pid alive, no reused pid) counts as a heartbeat.
A fresh stamp keeps the holder live and the reason reads "last activity N min ago ()". A missing or older stamp keeps today's "last mbx activity" wording and idle rule. The stamp must be newer than the lease claim and not in the future.

test/liveness-activity.test.ts (3): a writing Codex thread and a live Grok session read active; a dead Grok pid and a quiet rollout still read stale. project-mailbox 26/26, codex-activity and related liveness tests 41/41, tsc clean, dist rebuilt with no further drift. CHANGELOG Unreleased only.

Not covered here: the watcher heartbeat and OpenCode busy/idle (they'd need identity-status.ts or mcp.ts).

A Codex rollout mtime and a live Grok session row keep a stale mbx call from reading as idle. A dead or quiet harness still falls back to the mbx time.
