Change
Remove fixed version numbers from both READMEs and use release links instead. Runtime
__version__now reads installed distribution metadata, withpyproject.tomlas the single manually maintained software version source. Cancel the extra 0.3.1 bump; these changes do not schedule or create another release.Retain the verified Search 1.1.0 dependency correction and the historical release index. Synchronize its declaration, lock and definition binding through the existing dependency updater; metadata checks reuse that shared three-way validator. Python package metadata stays an installation detail; benchmark releases have one public benchmark tag. Document batching releases around coherent user-facing changes rather than tagging each PR, dependency sync or README correction.
Checks verify package/lock/install agreement, actual immutable dependency pins, strict installed benchmark catalogs and runtime metadata lookup. Remove tests that forced README version literals or coupled current development dependencies to a historical release row.
Validation
511 dependency-update, Search, report-version and benchmark-binding tests plus 45 subtests pass. Negative controls cover either benchmark with a changed declaration, lock or definition-binding revision. The new runtime test verifies the value comes from installation metadata rather than a hardcoded literal.
make lint-checkand all four isolated installation configurations inmake package-checkpass. No new tag or report release is created.Standard pip now installs the source archive and wheel in the base isolated package gate, with
pip checkand installed CLI validation. All four package configurations pass; the optional configurations retain their existing isolated installers. The package smoke rejects imports from the checkout and verifies installed modules/resources byte for byte.
