Screenshot-waiver request for head The GUI changes preserve sidecar activation through serialization, save acknowledgement and reload; they do not add or change rendered layout, markup, styling or visible controls. Recorded validation includes GET → save → PUT → reload regression tests, serializer/save tests and a production GUI build. Those are behavioral/build receipts, not owner approval or screenshot evidence. Correction to my earlier wording: a non-visual-change explanation does not itself grant a screenshot waiver. I am requesting an explicit owner decision under the repository policy; no owner waiver is claimed. The management-persistence/GUI-serialization boundary review and required maintainer sponsorship also remain separate from the passing tests and bot review. @Ingwannu @lidge-jun Please confirm whether the non-visual screenshot waiver is accepted for this exact head and whether the required boundary sponsorship is granted. Until then, both remain pending. This clarifies #7420 (comment) without changing code or asserting merge approval. |

Summary
Retiring an OpenCode Free target could remove an entire sidecar section and lose its disabled state. Keep affected vision and web-search sidecars explicitly disabled in global settings and Claude overrides, while preserving healthy settings.
Carry activation state through the management DTO, GUI serialization, and save/reload cycle. Clearing an already enabled override's model keeps it enabled. A successful save confirms only sidecar values included in that request; edits made while it was pending retain their draft state. Explicit Inherit, supported-model selection, and Auto backend/model deletion remain available. Rendered controls are unchanged.
Verification
dist/bin/ocx.mjs. Hosted CI on this exact head passed all four test shards and the final ci gate.The HTTP fixture drains requests and background work before restoring state. Failure-ordering tests use controlled promises; a separate real HTTP test covers normal Bun shutdown. Final fixture tests use an injected outbound executor and strict fetch guards, with zero forbidden provider calls. An earlier failed fixture run logged an HTTP 401 before that boundary was stubbed and is excluded from successful isolation evidence.
Full local-suite and live-provider validation were not performed.
