Move the Picker timeout rule into each locale’s Picker section.
The new paragraphs describe the local Picker relay, but their headings place them in gateway-profile or remote-hub guidance. That placement can misstate which mode uses the timeout.

Add an upstream-backpressure pause-and-resume regression case.
The current upload tests do not create upstream-induced request backpressure. The progressing case consumes req immediately, and the existing backpressure case pauses the downstream response, not the uploaded request. Therefore, the new pause and resume timer rules are not protected.
Add HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 coverage that stops the upstream from reading, sends enough data to pause the relay request, waits beyond uploadIdleMs, and asserts that no idle timeout occurs. Resume upstream reading, stop sending client data, and assert that idle enforcement is active again.

Summary
This follows the idle-only alternative suggested when upstream PR lidge-jun#7015 was closed. It is a new fork-only draft, not a reopening of the rejected absolute-timeout proposal. The controlled reproduction uses an upstream that deliberately never times out; it does not establish that the live claude.ai edge fails to time out. This limits silent upload occupancy, not sustained byte-trickle traffic or every form of denial of service. The default 60-second no-progress policy still requires maintainer acceptance.

No test-layout registration, file-size cap, dependency, certificate or trust-store change is introduced. Auxiliary source-transfer and publication files are absent from this tree.
Verification — actual Linux / repository-selected Bun 1.4.3
Focused aggregate: 123 passed, 0 failed, 1,177 assertions across seven files. The upload file includes eight new cases and passes 30 cases in total; those are included in the aggregate, not additional tests to sum.

The upstream installs no body timeout and sends no response. The progressing-upload controls run longer than their shortened idle interval while preserving all bytes. Completed-upload and early-response controls preserve response streams beyond the idle interval.
Red control: restoring the original listener while retaining the two silent-upload regression cases gives 0 pass and 2 failures at the bounded test deadline. Restoring the correction makes them pass. Existing upstream-502, large early-response, linger, cancellation and shutdown regressions remain in the green aggregate.
Root typecheck, privacy, structure and whitespace checks passed. Public-guide paragraphs were added after the application test run without changing runtime/test bytes; final privacy, structure and whitespace checks passed again. The guides were not built locally. Input-side backpressure pause handling was source-reviewed but not separately fault-injected; existing response-side backpressure tests do not establish that additional coverage.
Publication run
38492130949checked patch SHA-256, original preimages, the exact changed-file set and complete candidate trees before atomically publishing two new fork refs. It executed no patched application code or dependency installation with its write token. Superseded malformed compressed Picker transfer data was removed before publication; the readable patch and localized paragraphs produced the exact checked tree above. This is transport verification, not another application test run.Remaining gates
No actual Claude Desktop/macOS run, Windows native run, live claude.ai edge test, production-default 60-second timing run, sustained client churn/byte-trickle stress, certificate/keychain operation, docs-site build or full repository/import-connected suite was executed. Tests use local TLS fixtures and shortened deadlines, and do not establish native Desktop acceptance. Focused coverage is the repository resource exception.
Keep Draft pending independent security/compatibility review, current-dev reconciliation and exact-head required hosted CI. Pending, skipped and older-head results are not passes. No upstream PR, merge, installation, deployment or Security Cloud finding closure is performed.
