The \s+#+ branch also treats Unicode whitespace, such as \u00A0, as a valid separator. A title such as # C#\u00A0# can therefore lose its final #, although the stated CommonMark rule permits only a space or tab. Use [ \t]+#+ and add a regression test for this boundary.
