Hi,
altool publishapp --authentication MicrosoftEntraID --server <url> treats the target as BC Online. It builds the Entra authority from --tenant and never contacts --server.
al publishapp .\Any_App_1.0.0.0.app --server https://localhost:1 --serverinstance BC --authentication MicrosoftEntraID --tenant default
Publishing package to tenant 'default'
Acquiring token for authority https://login.microsoftonline.com/default using correlation <guid>.
A browser opens with AADSTS900023: Specified tenant identifier 'default' is neither a valid DNS name, nor a valid external domain. The command never exits.
Adding --environmenttype OnPrem fixes it. The tool gets the token and sends the request to https://localhost:1/BC/dev/apps?tenant=default.
I'd expect --server without --environmenttype to mean on-premises, as the help text for --server says. Failing that, the tool should exit with an error rather than wait on a sign-in that can't succeed.
AL Tool 30.0.42.32495-beta, Windows 11.
Thanks.
