Summary

  • The Pi provider now uses its official brand color #4D9ABF instead of the earlier violet #7C3AED. The color is set in the provider spec (rust/src/core/provider/spec.rs) and in the frontend icon table (apps/desktop-tauri/src/components/providers/providerIcons.ts).
  • The Pi dashboard link points at the current repository, https://github.com/earendil-works/pi.
  • The pi-mono CLI alias still resolves to Pi, so existing configs keep working.
  • Pi is added to the mac-parity accent table in rust/src/core/provider/id.rs, with #7C3AED as the accent and #4D9ABF as the brand color, and to the matching frontend test list.
  • rust/src/core/provider_registry_snapshot.txt is updated for the two changed Pi lines.
  • Not ported: the upstream confetti palette (F09082/4D9ABF/F1BE58), its palette test and docs/pi.md. Windows has no confetti palette code path or matching docs, so there is nothing to attach them to.

Upstream reference: steipete/CodexBar commit 591e6008c (steipete#4690), PiProviderDescriptor.swift and ProviderPaletteRegressionTests.swift.

Checks

  • cargo fmt --all: clean.
  • Focused Rust tests: 17 passed, 0 failed. The filters covered the registry snapshot, the pi-mono alias, the new Pi test (pi_uses_its_official_brand_color_and_current_repository), the mac-parity accent tests (including the contrast check), the adopted-provider and CLI alias tests, and the brand-color tests.
  • cargo clippy --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml --all-targets -- -D warnings: clean.
  • Tauri manifest clippy: not run. The change is data-only in the spec table.
  • pnpm install --frozen-lockfile: ok (pnpm 11.25.0, local Node 22.22.0). CI pins Node 24.18.0; this run did not use it.
  • pnpm test -- --maxWorkers=4: 164 files, 1617 tests passed.
  • pnpm run build: succeeded (existing chunk-size warnings only).
  • Full cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml: 5280 passed, 0 failed, 2 ignored.
  • Tests added: pi_uses_its_official_brand_color_and_current_repository in rust/src/core/provider/id.rs; ["pi","#4d9abf"] in providerIcons.test.ts.
  • No CHANGELOG entry was added.

Proof suggestion (fake data)

Open the Pi provider card with a synthetic snapshot. Expect the icon and usage bar in brand blue #4D9ABF. Use the dashboard action and expect https://github.com/earendil-works/pi. Keep the pi-mono alias in a fake CLI config and expect it to resolve to Pi.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Updates
    • Updated Pi’s brand accent color to match its current branding across the app.
    • Updated the Pi provider’s dashboard link to its current project page.
    • Pi’s display name and command-line alias remain unchanged.

Pi uses the blue from its official logo (#4D9ABF) instead of the generic purple, and its dashboard link points to earendil-works/pi. The pi-mono alias still parses. Pi joins the Mac parity accent table, so the contrast check covers it. Upstream steipete#4690.

📝 Walkthrough

The Pi provider’s brand color and dashboard URL are updated in the Rust registry. The Mac-parity palette and desktop icon registry use the updated color. Tests cover the color, dashboard URL, and existing pi-mono alias.

Full details: Provider Data Stays Siloed

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes only Pi metadata: brand color, dashboard URL, parity-test data, and the matching snapshot. The diff adds no identity, plan, account label, or email flow between providers or accounts. It adds no cross-provider conditional or match branching. The new ProviderId::Pi references are table/test entries in rust/src/core/provider/id.rs, not branching logic.

Full details: Secrets Handled Safely

Explanation

The pull request changes only Pi metadata, brand colors, a repository URL, and regression tests. The diff adds no token, cookie, API key, OAuth credential, authorization header, logging, error output, credential-file operation, or keyring operation. The snapshot contains only the updated public URL and color.

Full details: No Unapproved Dependencies

Explanation

The pull request changes only provider source and test files. It does not modify any Cargo.toml or package.json, add an npm/yarn lockfile, or change the pinned pnpm packageManager version. No dependency approval is required.

Resolution

Add screenshots from a fresh Windows build, or add a clear proof note in the PR description that records the fresh Windows build and the visible Pi color/dashboard result.
