Copying formatted text into an issue previously used the clipboard's plain-text representation, dropping code fences, emphasis, and link destinations. Convert rich clipboard HTML to Markdown in the shared issue description/comment input, prefer explicit Markdown clipboard data, and preserve native paste for plain text. Conversion parses inert HTML and removes active content and copy-button chrome.
Paste replaces the current selection, preserves existing mention identities, respects input limits, and restores the cursor. The editor continues to display Markdown source; the saved issue renders it.
Validation: nine tests pass, covering the reported code/bold/link example, headings/lists, plain Markdown, explicit Markdown priority, and a real React paste event with selection replacement and mentions. Frontend TypeScript and diff checks pass.
