Thanks for the report. Could you tell us which version you're on (shown on the start screen) and which resolution, upscaler and anti-aliasing you use? Please also attach lasrecomp.log from the LAS Recomp data folder after a run where you see it. A short video helps too, if you can record one. Some shimmer on shadow edges while the camera moves is normal at lower resolutions (the original game has it too), so your settings will help us tell whether this is more than that.
Thanks, that rules out the new speed-up, since it was already there before. GitHub only accepts small videos (about 10 MB), so a short 5-10 second clip of it usually fits. You could also share it here as a link (an unlisted YouTube video, for example). Please keep it on this issue rather than Discord, since we track bugs here. We'll look at the log in the meantime.
This is an automatic summary of the LAS Recomp log files attached to this issue. It only reads the logs, so a person will still look at the details.
For a new report, please attach lasrecomp.log from LAS Recomp's data folder (it always holds the latest run; lasrecomp-backup-*.log there are the earlier runs).
Make sure it’s fullscreen and highest resolution. The issue isn’t very visible when it’s compressed. Even in this yt video it’s hard to see, but in-game you can always see it.
Thanks for the video! We tested this on other graphics hardware and couldn't reproduce it, so it looks specific to how AMD's driver handles shadows. Two things would help narrow it down:
Update your AMD graphics driver if there's a newer one, and see if it changes.
Start the game once with the shadow offset turned off: in a Command Prompt in the LAS Recomp folder, run set LARECOMP_NO_DEPTH_BIAS=1 and then lasrecomp.exe. Shadows may look a bit worse with this. We only want to know whether the shimmer gets much worse, better, or looks different. Please attach lasrecomp.log from that run.
Thanks, @xsoalokinx, that's useful. If it shows the same way in emulation, it's most likely how the game's own shadows work rather than something we added. We'll wait for @kkaylumm's test with the shadow offset turned off before deciding. Changing how the original game draws its shadows isn't something we're planning right now.
Closing this one. The flicker also shows in emulation, so it looks like how the original game draws its shadows rather than something the recomp adds. @kkaylumm, if your test with the shadow offset turned off shows something different, post it here and we'll reopen.

It doesn’t seem to be an upscaling or resolution issue as it’s present with and without upscaling and lower resolutions.
-Version 5 Hotfix 1 (i had this issue on all previous versions)
-Resolution match display
-Upscaler is greyed out but FSR 1
-Anti-aliasing SMAA
I’ll have to send the video to the discord because it’s failed to upload here

I would screen record it but I don’t know how.

Here’s a slightly clearer version. It’s not perfect but i sure you get the idea.
I’ll give those two steps a go and report back.

Pretty sure this also happens in emulation. Would be interesting to see some custom fixes to address problems in the original game.
