Startup currently reattaches silently when exactly one detached live session exists. Make startup restoration user-controlled.
Settings (two independent settings, integrated with the existing config UI)
- Startup restore: Ask (default) / Always / Never
- Multiple detached sessions: Ask which (default) / Open all
One detached session, Ask: lightweight prompt showing cwd, running command and detached/idle age. Resume (R/Enter), Not now (N/Esc: start fresh, leave it running), Always resume (A: persist and resume), Never resume (D: persist and start fresh).
Multiple detached sessions, Ask: picker with Up/Down, Space toggle, A select all, Enter resumes the selected ones, Esc (or Enter with none selected) starts fresh.
Opening several: the current window attaches one session; each of the others opens in a new host terminal window where the host supports it. Where it doesn't, nothing is lost: the current window attaches one, and the rest stay detached with a clear message on how to attach them.
Never means no automatic resume only. It never kills sessions, and /resume, detach and reattach are unaffected. There is no destructive startup option: killing stays an explicit, confirmed /resume action.
