I'd like to start the Kurdish (Sorani) translation effort for React documentation.

Language code: ckb

Initial maintainer:

@pouya-nasiri

While I don't have previous open-source translation experience, I actively work with React and regularly read English technical documentation. I would like to make the React documentation accessible to Kurdish-speaking developers and I'm committed to maintaining the translation.

I have read the maintainer responsibilities and I'm willing to help review, maintain, and improve the translation over time. I would also welcome additional contributors who are interested in helping with the Kurdish translation.

I'm also looking for additional Kurdish-speaking contributors who are interested in helping maintain the Kurdish (Sorani) translation.

Thanks for opening this, but it looks like this duplicates #362 , which was opened earlier (Jan 24, 2026) for the same language (Central Kurdish / Sorani, ckb). To avoid having two competing PRs for the same language, I think this one should be closed in favor of #362 , and any further discussion/collaboration (e.g. co-maintainers) consolidated there.
@pouya-nasiri @iamyahia — could we close this in favor of #362 ?

Thanks for reaching out! That makes sense.

I'm happy to support the existing translation effort instead of creating a duplicate one. I'll close my PR and would love to contribute to PR #367 and the Kurdish (Sorani) translation.

If possible, I'd also be interested in helping as a contributor or maintainer.
