Ecosystem

| Crate | Role |
|---|---|
| engram-parser (this) | Canonical zero-dep GGUF v3 parse + per-expert raw MoE weights; feature-gated Safetensors metadata/manifest/discovery |
| cortex-tensor | Tensor math, dequant, routing, family adapters (consumer of extracted weights) |
| hybrid-fusion | ANN→SNN orchestration |
| neuromod | SNN dynamics |
| myelin-accelerator | Reusable CUDA kernels |
| corinth-canal | Experimental end-to-end SAAQ lab — one-way copy into this crate, no dependency |
Safetensors ownership (reverses #10 in #57): safetensors support ships
in this crate behind the off-by-default safetensors cargo feature — not
as a separate safetensors-parser crate. The reusable surface was promoted
one-way from corinth-canal's reference implementation
(discovery/json/paths/manifest/validate); Corinth-specific
config.json policy and payload mmap were not ported.
Corinth adoption path: under the Corinth promotion program (corinth-canal#161), corinth-canal retargets its safetensors inspect half at this crate's feature, and may adopt it as a dependency (removing its replaceable local copy) once semantic, payload-boundary, mmap/performance, and parity gates pass. Hard invariant: engram-parser never depends on corinth-canal.
Boundary matrix: Linear LIM-9. Tracking: issues #4 (boundary), #7 (GGUF extraction completeness), #10 (Safetensors), #61 (README consistency), #45 (mmap + K-quant).
cortex-tensor's in-tree GGUF reader is frozen for parser enhancements while this crate owns the canonical path.
