The PNG sits in docs/images/ with the other README images because Pages serves the site from docs/, and the mirrored index.md cannot reach a file outside that root. The card shows codes.side:colorpicker with no version, so a release never leaves the artwork stale; the setup section right below carries the current coordinate. Committing it does not set the repository's social preview — that is still an upload under Settings.
