The demo shows two new shots at a true 60 fps, and the 23.976 fps option is gone. It's the slower of the two renders, so it only hid what the interpolation does.

  • The shots are a Violet Evergarden close-up with hair in the wind and Rengoku's sword swing through a ring of fire. Each was rendered from its own markers with as many frames per source frame as 60 fps needs. For half speed that's 2 for the 60 fps file and 4 for the 30 fps one. The original plays on top, frame for frame.
  • Only the Half speed and Full speed buttons remain. Half speed is the default.
  • compare-24-*.mp4 are deleted. The site.js cache key moves to 20261028b on every page, so no cached copy of the script asks for a deleted video.
  • This branch contains Add motion to the home page #18 (the home page motion) merged with main, so merging it merges Add motion to the home page #18 too.

Checks

  • tests/test_site.py passes.
  • Full speed is 138 frames (2.3 s) and half speed 274 (4.57 s).

The hero comes in with a short stagger, the logo's amber frame lands after the two drawn ones, the demo divider sweeps once to show it drags, sections below rise in once, and the How it works chain lights node by node. Reduced motion and no script show everything in place. Bumps the css and js cache tag to 20261027m.
The intro now shows the original first, then the Upflow2x side, in about three seconds, and stops at 5% and 95% so the grip stays on screen. Bumps the js cache tag to 20261027n.
…motion

Motion rules now apply on screens only, so printing before scrolling no longer leaves sections blank. A range change with no press or key keeps its value instead of being swept over, and turning on reduced motion stops the sweep and puts the divider back. Bumps the css and js cache tags to 20261027o.
It now waits 400ms after the demo comes into view instead of 900ms. Bumps the js cache tag to 20261027p.
…awn at 60 fps

Each shot is rendered from Ali's markers with as many frames per source frame as each speed needs at 60 fps: 1 and 2 for the 60 fps Violet clip, 2 and 4 for the 30 fps Rengoku clip. Both end on the last marker. Half speed used to be the full-speed frames played at 30 fps.
