This change tightens up the processing in the JVMHookResourceReaper with error handling and up to 5 tries when removing container images. This fixes a problem in podman where containers may have dependencies and one or more may fail to be removed initially. A subsequent pass over existing containers will remove those that failed initially, provided the dependent container was removed.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Resource cleanup now includes stopped containers, removes matching containers with their associated volumes, and retries listing and removal up to five times when removal fails.
A failure pruning one resource type no longer prevents cleanup from attempting other resource types; the failure is logged. If container removal still fails after retries, cleanup reports the errors.
The cleanup method is deprecated. It now processes prune filters independently, logs failures, and continues. Container cleanup lists matching containers and retries forced removal with volume removal for up to five attempts.

Summary
Prune dispatch and container removal core/src/main/java/org/testcontainers/utility/JVMHookResourceReaper.java
performCleanup() processes each registered filter set and logs pruning failures. Container cleanup lists matching containers and retries forced removal with volume removal up to five times. Final removal errors are attached as suppressed exceptions. Other resource types use Docker’s label-filtered prune command.
If an empty cleanup filter is registered, retries can remove additional unrelated containers. Assess that risk before merging.
