Large generated AppStoreConnect SDK overwhelms compiler and CI runners #405
tryAGI/AppStoreConnect main at c00c911b8737c96c4727f73d4fe5b23dcd15107b contains 25,639 files under src/libs/AppStoreConnect/Generated. Spec update PR #14 changes openapi.json and 887 generated files.
In a clean temporary clone with the exact PR diff applied, dotnet build AppStoreConnect.slnx -c Release --nologo -p:UseSharedCompilation=false remained in csc for 52 minutes and consumed over 100 CPU minutes. Its memory reached roughly 40–50 GB; macOS reported almost no free pages and heavy swapping on a 128-GB host. I canceled this temporary build to protect other work. No source compiler diagnostic was emitted before cancellation.
The current main checkout passed autosdk trim src/libs/AppStoreConnect/AppStoreConnect.csproj locally in 1,093 seconds. That verifies main's trim result, not PR handle properties that have non-c# valid names #14.
Publish run 36100808512 attempt 2 failed after hours: Trimming Check ran 3h41m, Publish/build was canceled after about 3h11m and the job ended later. GitHub's job-log endpoint returned BlobNotFound, so no source error can be identified from that run.
PR Test run 36288427499 attempt 2 also failed after about 2h40m with job logs unavailable. The newer PR Test run 36307012873 remained in progress at issue creation.
Please investigate whether AutoSDK's generated output for very large OpenAPI specs can be reduced or partitioned so full build, trim, and no-cost tests complete within ordinary CI runner resources. Preserve generated API compatibility; identify the specific compilation/resource bottleneck before changing output.
Fixed in AutoSDK main at 5800890. Large grouped SDKs now keep per-tag context types while delegating metadata to the aggregate root, reducing AppStoreConnect JsonSerializable registrations from about 140,503 to 22,707 (84%). Regenerated AppStoreConnect PR #14 merged as c639edb; its clean local build completed in 1m22s, seven no-cost tests passed, one credentialed test skipped, and NativeAOT/trimming passed. AppStoreConnect Publish 36318637288 and AutoSDK Publish 36318605146 both completed successfully. OpenAI received the same optimized generated contexts and its Publish is still being watched separately.
