Replaces flake.nix/flake.lock with a Kaifile.roc based on the one in thebrandonlucas/kai (same v0.0.9 bundles). The Rust toolchain comes from rust-toolchain.toml via rust-overlay; python3 and cargo-machete are added. .envrc, .gitignore, docs/development.md and docs/quality.md are updated to match.

Gaps against the flake

  • Kai and Nix were not available where this was written, so kai check was not run. .kai/lock.json is not generated; run kai update.
  • Kai is Linux only, so the macOS shells are dropped.
  • Kai has no shellHook equivalent, so the automatic cargo build on shell entry is gone.
  • Kai can't add the llvm-tools-preview component.

Checks

No Rust code changed, so no CRAP report applies. Verification of the Kaifile itself is still outstanding (see above).

The development shell is now defined by Kaifile.roc, based on the Kaifile
of thebrandonlucas/kai. It reads rust-toolchain.toml through rust-overlay
and adds python3 and cargo-machete. .envrc loads the Kai shell, and the
development guide describes it. Kai runs only on Linux.
